Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis usually takes hold around the time of middle age. It is far and away the most common type of arthritis with the discomfort and pain varying from very mild to severe. It is seen as part of the aging process but could also develop as a consequence of an injury. It is a progressive disease, where the condition gradually gets worse. The everyday wear and tear on the cartilage that surrounds our joints eventually leads to Osteoarthritis. Over time, the cartilage gradually wears down, the joints are no longer protected and cushioned. They may become swollen, stiff, and painful to the touch. The discomfort and pain is usually worse in the spine, fingers, hips and knees. Statistics show that up to 90% of the population over age 60 will develop some form of Osteoarthritis. As a general rule, women tend to suffer more in their fingers whilst men feel the discomfort and pain in their knees and hips.

Ankylosing Spondylitis

Ankylosing Spondylitis is a rheumatic disease that causes degeneration in the spine and sacroiliac joints. It can also affect the ankles, knees, lungs, heart valves, shoulders and inflammation of the eyes. The definitive cause of Ankylosing Spondylitis isn’t known but in some cases it has developed after a bowel or urinary tract infection, potentially triggering the autoimmune response. The most common symptom is a loss of flexibility in the lumbar spine and in more severe cases, inflammation of the eye, fever, fatigue, weight loss or anaemia. Although it can be debilitating and painful an early diagnosis and treatment may decrease the amount of functional loss and pain enabling patients to enjoy the activities they have always enjoyed.

Diagnosis and Treatment

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – this provides a much better view of the changes that occur in the sacroiliac joint during the early development of Ankylosing Spondylitis. Physicians are better placed to prescribe therapies and treatments to slow the loss of function and mobility.

Tumour Necrosis Factor Blockers - these treatments, usually reserved for patients with tumours, show a high effectiveness in reducing spinal inflammation. Regrettably, research has shown that once the treatment has stopped most patient’s relapse.

Unfortunately, Ankylosing Spondylitis is a lifelong ailment and those patients who fail to continue therapy and treatment experience permanent posture and mobility loss.

Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

Many of us believe that arthritis is an affliction that only affects us when we are growing old. This is not true. There are many children in the United States suffering with arthritis. This type of arthritis is known as Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Children are usually diagnosed between the ages of six months and sixteen years. The most common symptoms are stiffness and swelling of the joints, muscle pain and difficulty in completing what would be considered normal day to day physical tasks.

Whilst the symptoms of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis are similar to the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in adults, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis differs from the adult condition in that the disease is classified into three specific types:

● Polyarticular

● Pauciarticular

● Systematic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis

Regrettably, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis also differs from adult rheumatoid arthritis in terms of side effects. A child with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis may also experience skin rashes, fevers, and a swollen spleen and lymph nodes. The fevers and skin rashes may worsen or improve intermittently. Unfortunately, any swelling of the spleen or lymph nodes may just worsen with time. The origins of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis are not known but we do know that the characteristics of the condition are the same as adult rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder. The child’s immune system attacks and destroys it’s own tissues, mistaking them for bacteria, a virus or some other alien body.

The treatment for juvenile rheumatoid arthritis include:

● Drugs - NSAID class drugs such as naproxen and ibuprofen

● Regular physical exercise - swimming and water exercises are highly recommended but not high impact sports and activities such as running and tennis

Our animal pets, just like us, have the possibility of being sick sometimes. They do deserve the best treatment that they can get through a veterinarian. Just like us, our pets need to be brought to a veterinarian to determine its sickness and prescribe medicines that it needs in order to bring it back to its healthy condition. But what are the different pet meds that our pets need in times that they are sick, and are it similar to the ones that we are taking?

Pet medicines are different in those we take. This is because the body composition of animals is very different from us, so the basis of manufacturing pet medicines from our medicines is the body composition of animals and the nature of the bacteria that causes our pet?s sickness. Once we take their medicines and vice versa, there is a possibility of poisoning due to irritation of some vital organs in the body. So it is a general rule that only medicine designed for pets should only be used, no other than that.

There are two general classification of pet medicine: the manufactured pet medicine and the pet herbal remedies.

The manufactured pet medicines includes the following:

1. Live bacteria cultured for pets. This provides essential good bacteria to counteract with the bad bacteria that cause the sickness. It is also fortified with the necessary vitamins to nourish lost body nutrients of our pet. It is available in a syringe package.

2. Different pet tablets according to pet needs. These are chewable tablets that help to remove roundworms and hookworms in the body of our pets. These bacteria are the causes of major irritation on the vital organs of our pets. Depending on the veterinarian?s prescription, usually the affected pet intakes about an average of 2 tablets per 25-pound weight.

3. If your pet is itching because of different animal insects that reside in its furs, there are flea repellent and anti-itch gels that help to eradicate such itching and also to fix some minor skin problems.

4. There are also available antibiotics for our pet depending on the degree of its sickness. These antibiotics can only be taken upon prescription of the attending veterinarian. The reason for this is that if taken without prescription, it can lead to some serious side effects for our pets.

? Some of the herbal pet medication are described as follows:

1. The agrimony, a herbal plant native in Europe, is used mainly now as a gastrointestinal tonic to treat pets with digestive problems such diarrhea.

2. The aloe vera, is one of the most cultivated herbal plants in West Indies and other tropical countries. The clear gel within its leaves has excellent healing properties used for our pet?s burns and wounds.

3. The astralagus, a native herbal plant in northern and eastern China. It is used primarily for treating pets with various infections and illnesses in the liver, lungs, digestive tracks, and immune system of our pets because it contains antibiotic, antibacterial and immune-strengthening properties.

4. The bilberry is a perennial shrub that is abundant in Europe, Asia, and North America. It contains rich nutrients that can help to fix our pet?s eye disorder such as cataracts and useful for other pets suffering from arthritis and cramps.

5. The bistort is native to northern Europe, Siberia, Asia, and Japan. It is now used for pets with respiratory ailments and stomach disorders such as dysentery, diarrhea, and vomiting, and also good for pets suffering from parasites.

There are many proven pet meds available, but it is important that we follow prescriptions from the veterinarian so that our pets can recover faster from its sickness.

What, exactly, is cholesterol? Well, it’s a sort of fatty, waxy stuff and your own liver produces it. It’s actually necessary for good health and it’s a part of every cell in your body!

There are several things that cholesterol helps our bodies to do:

  • Keep the cell wall healthy
  • Help the body produce enough vitamin D
  • Aid in digesting, by producing stomach acids to digest fat

We need cholesterol and we produce it in our own bodies. You also get some from certain foods, notably from animals, like meat or dairy. Fruit and veg contain no cholesterol at all. When the body produces too much cholesterol it sits in the blood stream and eventually it can block up your blood vessels. That increases your risk of heart diseases and the ’silent killer’, stroke.

So why is high colesterol so bad?

If you eat a lot of animal fats - also called saturated fats -your body can produce too much cholesterol. And a high cholestrol level should not be ignored. Now there are various types of cholesterol and they each have a different role to play in your health.

The ‘bad’ cholesterol is called LDL, which stands for Low Density Lipoprotein. This is the one that can increase your chances of getting heart disease by clogging up your arteries. When that happens blood flow through the artery is reduced.

The ‘good’ cholesterol is called HDL. This is the opposite, so it’s High Density Lipoprotein. This actually ’sweeps up’ the ‘bad’ cholesterol from your blood stream. Which means it’s important to know your cholesterol ratio to know whether you have a normal cholesterol level.

If you monitor your cholesterol regularly you will know when you have high cholesterol. And if you do have high cholesterol levels it makes sense to reduce your LDL cholesterol if you can. And if your levels are high you should do it as soon as possible.

Considering that it’s been estimated that about 50% of Americans have high cholesterol levels, it’s wise for everyone to get their level tested and do something about it.

You should always seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health professional before starting any new treatment or making any changes to existing treatment. Weddings are that once in a lifetime event that are supposed to set the mood for never ending love and lasting romance not only between the couple but also among all the guests. Wedding are made even more special because the bride and the groom choose the most special people in their lives to join them in the journey of life they are about to take. Everyone who is part of the wedding entourage is significant in the lives of the couple and the bridesmaid is one of them.  And that is why choosing nice bridesmaid gifts is so very important.

Bridesmaids are normally the bride’s choice; she is someone very close to the bride, usually the best friend or the sister, or someone who has touched the brides’ life in inexplicable ways. On that special day, you, as the bridesmaid should look elegant and stylish not only in the gown or dress you will wear but also with the bridal jewelry and accents you will strut. Here’s a quick guide on the best jewelries and accessories you can choose from to fashion the perfect wedding.

Weddings are all about making a statement too. Make sure that you as the bridesmaid will stand out among the rest. Be confident in the dress that you are wearing and see to it that you walk it with style, glamour and sophistication.

Make sure that you accessorize in the best and finest pieces of jewelries like chandelier earrings made from diamonds or crystal, stud earrings made of gold or hoop earrings that may look a little fancy but perfect nonetheless. The earrings you will choose to wear on your best friend’s wedding day will accentuate your face and complete the look you want to project as well as the bridesmaid gifts that she chooses.

Don’t forget about the necklace. Your necklace will serve as the highlight to your neck to make it look longer or sleeker. Choose a necklace that will make your neck look stunning. Necklaces made from huge rhinestones, or diamonds will definitely make you look class and classic.

Not because it isn’t your wedding can you not fancy a ring. Don’t forget that rings are included to complete your whole couture. Rings are elegantly designed to highlight your fingers; to give it life and color. Make sure that the ring you will wear will turn heads once you tap on the glass for the couple’s special kiss at the reception.

Bracelets are also a must in completing your wedding fashion. You can choose from the customary bracelets designed to be on the wrist or you can choose to wear arm bands that will capture the true beauty of your delicate skin. Just don’t overdo it by wearing both at the same time. Remember, less is more. You do not have to necessarily exaggerate your accessories; all you have to do is project and be confident– you are the bridesmaid after all.

What is the best weight loss program out there? Well, that’s a bit of a loaded question – there really is no absolute best weight loss program that’s going to work equally for everyone in helping to meet his or her weight loss targets. The best you can really do is research all of the options available (and there are a lot!) and decide which one best fits your lifestyle and needs. Here are some diet ratings and reviews.

Diet programs are one of the biggest businesses out there. While it’s true that many of these organizations are committed to helping you drop some weight, others are just in it for a quick buck. Before you embark on any diet program, make sure you read up on it. There’s a ton of information just a Google search away at any given moment. Look up reviews by customers and professionals, as well as data from science and health organizations to make sure that the product your getting is as safe and effective as it claims.

In addition to doing your own research, you should visit your personal physician to determine if you are healthy enough to commence any diet program. In some cases you may discover there is an underlying illness or disease, which is causing your weight gain. Once your physician has given you a clean bill of health, then you can move forward with your diet program.

Many people have recommended Weight Watchers as the best weight loss program on the market today. It has one of the highest long-term success rates of any diet plan that you can find. It’s also relatively cheap compared to many consumer diet choices, making it available to just about anyone. If you’ve ever gone out to dinner with a buddy who says, “Oh, I can’t eat that, it’s too many points,” chances are they were on Weight Watchers (otherwise, they may just be a little crazy). Weight Watchers assigns every food a point value and provides a program of how many points can be consumed daily. This allows people to make smart choices about the food they eat on the fly. The big criticism of Weight Watchers is that it over-simplifies the nutritional value of food by using the point system. They claim that it doesn’t always cause healthier eating – just trying to squeeze every last calorie out of each point. In spite of that, Weight Watchers has a great success rate.

Another very popular diet plan is Slim Fast. This plan uses diet shakes and prepackaged foods as part of the plan. This can be very easy to use for busy people without time to cook healthier meals, but it’s also a very expensive option, as it can cost as much as $40 a week to buy the products you need. Not to mention, all those shakes get a little boring after a while!

If you’re looking for a little more flexibility in your choice of weight loss program, there are a lot of Internet sites to turn to. Some of these sites compile multiple lists of diets all in one place, so you can compare the pros and cons of each diet, one by one. Some of them offer online support chats to help keep you focused on your diet. You can be sure to find the best weight loss program to fit your specific needs and weight loss goals on one of these sites.

It’s never been easier to book your private holiday apartments in Marbella Spain these days due to the excellent range of professional websites providing property owners with numerous opportunities to rent out their apartments to holiday makers seeking to book a holiday.

With package holiday firms finding it increasingly difficult to attract customers due to the perceived high profits being made by the likes of Thomson Holidays, Thomas Cook etc. The public are realising that web sites such as those specialising in regions such as Marbella, Nerja and Javea all provide a variety of villas at a range of price points to suit the individual looking for a better value holiday villa vacation.

In fact the ease in which low cost flights can be booked separately has revolutionised the freedom to book holiday apartments etc at a far higher quality than you can expect to receive from a traditional package holiday supplier!   The result of which is that even the large holiday firms are developing their services to include separate appartment options with and without flights to more varied destinations in a hope to keep the holiday maker.

its a personal choice of course when it comes to booking a holiday, in my experience a like for like holiday - one being a package holiday - the other being a private apartment rental, the level of comfort and quality furnishings typically found in private holiday apartments with firms such as RentIn-Marbella or RentIn-Nerja for instance is eqivalent to a  four star or five star package holiday resort.  Yet is usually between 20%-50% cheaper than the eqivalent standard of a traditional package holiday when all costs are added together.

An invisible dog fence must not be used as replacement for actual dog training. In order to make your invisible fence effective in teaching your dog, time and patience is necessary. Aside from that, you need to follow strict rules and guidelines to make the invisible fence system work effectively.

Using the invisible fence system for training your dog can either be done on your own or with a help of a professional dog trainer. You need to consider this closely, since with or without professional trainer, you need to be hands-on with this process especially when the trainer is not around.

In order for your dog to recognize an invisible fence, it will cost you time and patience. However, when both you and your dog become accustomed to this system, it should be easy then.

The length of the invisible fence training varies depending on how fast or slow your dog acquires the needed training.

You can initially setup the training by placing small red flags along where you have buried the cable. The tiny flags will signal the dog where his boundaries are. Make sure to tape the prongs on the collar to prevent sending out shocks to your dog.

Whenever your dog is out, allow him enough freedom to roam around the boundaries. A warning beep will start off whenever it goes beyond the area, so this will ensure the dog stays within the boundaries. As soon as you hear the beep, bring your dog back and praise him for following your instructions.

By doing this several times in a day, you can allow your dog to familiarize with the system and train himself to go back once the beep is activated.

After the association part of the stage, now you can allow the shock to work by removing the tape around the collar prongs. If you are worried about your dog, the shock is not painful but enough to alert the dog and cause him to return.

It is comparable to experiencing a static shock and then you come in contact with any form of metal. You need to make necessary adjustments for the amount of shock your dog will receive, according to its size and level of response.

However, every dog owner must be aware that not all shock collars can be adjusted so make sure to purchase those with adjustable settings. Then, check the collar level to ensure that it is safe enough for your dog whenever he goes exploring outside.

Make sure not to remove the dog’s leash simultaneous with the removal of the collar prongs’ cover. You need to keep the leash on your dog, although he is exploring the area within the invisible fence.

Here are 3 simple basics you need to be a succesful Internet Marketing consultant to offline businesses. These steps are not that hard. The are basic to be honest. Having just the slightest grasp of these will let you to start your own consultancy business with virtually no money down.

The steps are:
1. Design and host a squeeze page.
2. Insert an opt-in form for people to ask for more infromation.
3. Set up a series of emails through an autoresponder.

And what are you going to do once this is set up? Well, this is where OfflineBiz.com comes into it.

Do you know many business owners in your local area? I would say you do if you are anything like me. And I reckon that the majority of these owners don’t have a website. The ones that do have a website would not have the time or education to make it worthwhile running it.

For example, a local fencer near my house has a website but he does not even rank in Google for the most obvious keywords for his profession. His website is basically useless to him as it attracts no-one. Now, this is where you come into it. What if you could tell him that, for a fee, you could get his website ranked high in Google for numerous long tail keywords?

Included in the fee would be a squeeze page which outllines their service. This squeeze page also gives away something of value to the reader. Enough to make them to give you their details in return for the free gift.

Next, we set up a series of emails or newsletters in the autoresponder that gets sent periodically to the prospect over time. This exposure results in extra business for the owner.

This is a win/win situation. And let’s be honest here. You have not done a heap of work. The fee you charge could vary depending on the work you do but $600 to $1000 plus $29 per month for upkeep is a fair amount.

What would 20 of these clients do to your bottom line?

Do the 3 steps above daunt you? It will be for some. But teaming up with copyright guru, Andrew Cavanagh and Internet marketing star, Jim Cockrum makes it a whole lot easier. These guys created OfflineBiz.com and their videos, audios, articles, forum and tutorials give you all the ammo to be able to confidently provide offline businesses with an online presence.

I told you the 3 steps to being a successful internet marketing consultant were simple.
